2019 Aug

Aug 31, 2019
Taking photos on a sunny day, the building is covered with speckled light beams coming through the branches and shadows.
Coming back on an overcast day it was evenly lit.
Instead of taking a direct photo, by doing a diagonal shot the whole building can be captured with no trees in front.

Didn't get up on top to give this guy a card, but bet he would like this pic. #risingpark

I think this guy n his little girl tried out my selfie tripod #risingpark

Kookie wanted me to take a beauty shot :) #risingpark

These guys were goofing off with cell phone cameras n no flash. I knew they wouldnt get a good shot so..THE FLASH to the rescue #risingpark

The last couple me n Kookie took a pic b4 descending into the path back to the cave. #risingpark

The Anchor Hocking from Mount Pleasant.

Neewland phone tripod HERE
I mounted this on a board and the board on a plastic pipe flange with intentions to attach it to the pipe that sticks up on top of Mount Pleasant.
I thought I would give visitors a chance to set their phone cameras and do selfies or to capture the sunset.

I lost the knob on back of the piece, highlighted in pink.

I don't know if they will let me buy the knob so I just ordered another.

I see so many earth quake videos, people recording the sunset holding the camera.. with a tripod they would look like this one.

Mount Pleasant is a look out point in Lancaster Ohio. Thousands come here every year to soak in the sunset.

People in hundreds of tourist places are doing the same thing. A promotion for a company that sells tripod .. they might test installing tripod mounts for regular cameras and phone cameras.

When I get it finished, I will take it out and see if visitors put it to use :).

This kid was brave in spite of my warning. Kookie was so excited Later we went swimming but she didn't like the deep.
I was out in the sun for hours.. red face n short hair getting bleached..  time lapse not what I thought but it will take a couple days to compose it.. first time. #risingpark

This will be a good place to give Kookie a bath.

Super telephoto n my gadget instead of carrying a tripod.. #risingpark

These guys came n talked to me so I asked em for a pic, #risingpark

Wish someone who loves Kookie would come n take her for a day, I would pay em for a play date #risingpark

On a day when the sun is lighting Mt P, it will have the best color saturation.
In the afternoon by standing behind the big building, it's shadow will produce even lighting on who ever is standing there.
Fill in flash from a regular camera will improve the lighting
Subjects must not be close or the camera's depth of field will have them in focus and Mt P will be out of focus.
With the help of Pshop, this is a rendition of the shot.
Everyone takes pics of themselves on top with the city in the background but I like to include the big bump in the background sometimes.
I would much rather to have others in my pics but they do not gather here.
They had the lights on last night so I waited till it was dark, to try to get a pic. The light is so low, the camera has a hard time to focus and when it went off it took a bit n me moving blurry.. so I jacked up the iso to the max and got some grainy shots.
I captured a couple of people with the lights on em, on the far left of the frame
