Lighting Mt P

One of the two lights they will use to light up the face of Mt P.'

I took the pic from the ground side because it was afternoon and if you shoot into the sun, sun flare bad pic
When I got on top they were backlit so.. didnt fool with em.. stayed there a bit and when I got down to the truck a car load of couples got out and had blankets with em..
When anyone goes up for a romantic doings to sit n look over the city when the lights r on, guess it will kind of be like looking into head lights.

Had a spotter on Broad St.. closes as you can get to a birds eye view and they didn't even notice the lights.

Guess the only people who will notice are people at the fairgrounds for something, maybe cars passing by .. only for a few seconds between trees and people who climb up with their pals to be flashed :)

I don't think the caper will do any thing to draw attention to Lancaster. Unless they read about it in the paper or on social media, people will be oblivious to it's existence :)

[Pic of the court house]
I drove by the court house last week and noticed it was all lit up. How long have they been doing this?
How many of you have driven past and observed it.. so I guess it will be the same at the park when it is lit.
I am guessing it will neither bring visitors from near or far. The people who will notice will only be those for or against the caper.

What did they have in mind in the first place? The only thing I can think is they thought it would create status for Lancaster?
... The thought of a woman I saw at Utica Park when I was a pup. Viola couldn't ride a bike, but she bought a new English bike and taped dollar bills to the spokes and walked around pushing it.  Something that can't be used, just to look at.. a status thing.. hmmm

If someone near the area comes up with the face lights I will add it here... but it will be dim at any distance.

Ohio <> Kentucky
Video Clip ->  Rock War

Some years ago I read about "Indian Head Rock" then saw it on television. It reminded me of this big conflict.

It was all about an old rock in the Ohio River that someone carved on. When the water level rose the rock was not seen till a guy found it and brought it ashore... from there Ohio and Kentucky got into a big conflict fighting over the rock and it went all the way to the supreme court... If you are a reader, it is great fun to see goofy people are and what they fight over.

I told someone I was gonna get a pic of me climbing up the pole.. the fun is almost over I guess.
